Tips on Booking a band

 
  1. Think about the overall feel you want for your reception.  Envision the style and size, and keep in mind your music selection may also be determined by the time/ hours of your reception.
  2. Trust in a booking agent.  They will help you find the perfect fit for your big day, and your budget!
  3. Never book a band that you have not heard before.  Your agent will send music samples for you to review before you make a decision.
  4. What kind of music do you and your Groom enjoy?  Consider your guest party as well; you can mix many genres from big band to modern pop, etc.
  5. Be prepared.  Know what songs/ genres must NOT be played on your wedding day, and which songs MUST be played.  How will the type of band/ musicians interact with your guests?
