The Connection

The Connection Band was originated and led by Darryl Grayson in 1982.

The band was formally the original house band known as “The French Connection” at a local night spot in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Since its beginning, Connection has a high energy stage show that really delights and excites the audience from beginning to end. We have a large, diverse variety of Dance/Club Mix, Ballads, Classic R&B and 70s songs sure to satisfy all musical lovers. We have opened for entertainers such as The Manhattans, Anita Baker, Phyllis Hyman , The S.O.S. Band, Najee’, The Temptations, Little Richard, Betty Wright and Jennifer Holiday. Connection has performed in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Texas and California and will travel any distance.
