DeVine & Co captures the essence of the musical journey of the Grateful Dead, and presents it with a fresh new perspective making each show a unique experience. This group of industry veterans is led by Matthew DeVine, a multi-instrumentalist/ singer, and local favorite, who has a remarkable talent for fitting into any musical situation and drawing in everyone around him, audience and band members alike! This versatility creates an exciting musical experience for every event.

DeVine & Co from Birmingham, AL was born out of a collaboration between Matthew DeVine (guitar) and Aaron Goldberg (bass) when they were asked to put together an act for a small music and camping festival. The two had performed hundreds of  shows together throughout the years, but this reawakened them to the songs of the Grateful Dead as vehicles for creative improvisation and musical fun. They soon recruited Jordan McElroy (guitar) and Clay Alligood (drums) to create a quartet of powerhouse players. Although the Grateful Dead’s catalog was their touchstone, their sets currently include music by many other artists, as well as an ever-expanding batch of original material by the group.
