The Tip Tops
The Tip Tops are a high-energy dance and show band based out of Mobile, AL. Their musical emphasis is “60’s”, “Motown” and “Rhythm & Blues.” The 4 Tops, Otis Redding, The Temptations and Marvin Gaye are just a sample of the artists The Tip Tops cover. Mix in some “50’s” from Elvis and Sam Cooke and some “80’s” from Kool and The Gang and The Commodores and you have three decades of musical history.

The Tip Tops – The Perfect Dance Band
And there, in a nutshell, is a big part of what makes The Tip Tops a different animal than the average show band you might find at the average Mobile Mardi Gras ball.
First of all, they’ve got some history. Secondly, they want people out on the floor for every song. Getting people moving isn’t part of what they do — It’s all of what they do.
The ensemble’s story, and its place on the Mobile music scene, are distinct. Compared to the average small combo, formed by friends with shared musical interests, The Tip Tops’ roots are almost corporate.
